DIY Outdoor Games for Endless Summer Fun!

Summer is almost here which means it's time to start planning those Summer BBQ's and get-togethers! It's the perfect time of year to bring your family and friends for some quality time in the backyard. Aside from planning the perfect meal and having a great time socializing, have you thought about incorporating some fun outdoor games for all your guests to enjoy? Eldon Furniture has a few great DIY outdoor games for you to try out this Summer!


Outdoor Twister

Twister is a classic game played by many over the years. Creating a twister board outside is simple. Ditch the plaster mat and make your own! All you need is a circle stencil and some spray paint! Pick your colors and make four rows of six circles and you have the perfect outdoor game! Don't worry about your grass, after you mow a couple times the game will disappear.

Bottle Ring Toss

Another easy DIY backyard game is to make bottle ring toss! Choose any kind of bottle that you have a surplus of or can gain access easily such as glass soda bottles, 2-liter bottle, wine bottle, etc...You can use anything for the rings such as glow stick necklaces or embroidery rings. You can paint the bottles to make them more fun or just leave them the way they are!


Giant Jenga

Putting together a giant Jenga game is super popular right now and surprisingly cheap and easy to make. All you need to do is cut 2X4 boards into 48 10 1/2 inch pieces. After you have your boards cut, sand them down so they are nice and smooth so they will slide easily. Paint the boards if desired or leave them plain!


Yard Scrabble

This is such an easy game to put together and fun for everyone! All you need is some cardboard and any kind of materials to draw the letters on such as paint, markers, decorative tape etc.. Making your cardboard game pieces 12X12 is a good size but you can customize it any way that you want.
