Mother's Day is just around the corner and we are sure that you want to impress your mom this year! Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 13th this year and it's not too late to make plans to spoil your mom this year. A great way to ensure your mom has the best Mother's Day is to plan a brunch just for her! She will have a great day with her family and she will never forget the great memories made. One way to make your mom feel special is to skip the phone call or group text and send out invitations in the mail. Both your guest and your mom will be impressed with the effort you put into your brunch.

Create an Inviting Entryway

When your guests come through your front door make sure that your entryway gives them a warm welcome. Purchase some fun decor to set the theme for the day. Set the Table

Since you are hosting a brunch, you want to make sure that your table is perfect. If your table is outdated or worn out, this may be the perfect opportunity for an upgrade. Plan the Perfect Meal

You could start by making a few different types of french toast. Switch up the typical syrup and make an easy berry compote. Offer a variety of juices for your guests to enjoy. For something more filling, a casserole is usually a hit! You can also make it in advance and bake the day of if you are in a time crunch. Below is a great recipe to try that is sure to impress your mom and guests.

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb hot breakfast sausage
1 (30-32oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 eggs
2 cups milk

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink. Drain fat.
Add hash browns to skillet and cook until lightly brown. Place hash browns in bottom of lightly greased 9x13-inch pan. Top with sausage and cheese.
Whisk together eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and milk. Pour over hash brown mixture.
**Cover and refrigerate at this point if baking later.**
Bake, uncovered, for 35-40 minutes.
