Shared Bedroom Ideas

Classic Choice - Bunk Beds 

If your children are sharing a bedroom, saving space is probably a top priority considering there will be double the amount of stuff in the room. Bunk beds are the easiest ways to save space and if your kids are young enough, they will love the idea of having bunk beds in their room. A lot of bunk beds have built-in storage which is an added bonus.

Divide the Room With Shelving 

If your kids are a little older and they want some more privacy, consider using shelving to divide the room. This can add extra storage and they will feel like they have more privacy along with their own part of the room to decorate how they want to.

Use the Popular L-Shaped Layout 

Arranging the furniture to make it work in the room is the key to a successfully shared bedroom. A popular way to save space in a shared bedroom is to utilize the L-Shaped layout. Much like a bunk bed, one bed is raised while the other goes underneath to create an "L."

Separate the Room in Half 

Sometimes the best way to successfully create a shared bedroom is to simply cut the room in half and have two separate beds. This will help each child feel like they have their own part of the room and can save bickering between siblings. There are plenty of ways to create a cohesive space while still giving each child their own side of the room.
