Get Comfy

Part of having a family typically means lots of relaxing in the living room. Choose living room furniture that will allow the entire family to relax. Comfy sectionals with ottomans, recliners that rock, and oversized chairs are a great way to add style to your living room. You should also think about fabric selection when choosing living room furniture. Going with darker colors is always a good option in case of spills. Materials that are great for kids and pets include microfiber, wool, vinyl, and leather. These materials clean easy and are resistant to spills. 

Cut the Corners

Let's face it, when you have little ones, they are going to fall at some point, and probably a lot. Avoid coffee tables and end tables with corners and go with rounded edges only. Choose rounded coffee tables or ottomans work great too. Ottomans offer style and comfortability for your living room. Carpet typically isn't the best choice when you have children.
